Community groups

Find out about the various groups in our community.

We have lots of groups you can join for exercise, for friendship, for fun – or all three.

50 Plus Group

The 50 Plus group offers the opportunity for friendship, support and help with leading a fun and healthy lifestyle for anyone over the age of 50. It holds monthly meetings to plan the activities, ensuring there’s something for everyone. Events and activities throughout the year include:

Lunch club

Day trips

Aerobics class

Christmas dinner party

Young people

We have lots of activities throughout the year for young people to take part in.

Charlton Athletic Community Trust

We work with Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) to provide all-round sports coaching (including football training) in term time and during the summer holidays as part of our summer programme.

Blackheath Rugby Club

We have a strong partnership with Blackheath Rugby Club. The club offers ‘tag rugby’ as part of its 5-week summer programme, along with access to their grounds and facilities for use by local groups.

Triangle Kids Club

Triangle Kids Club is run by local tenants and residents. It offers comprehensive services for working parents including an after-school club, a breakfast club, tuition clubs during term time, and a paid holiday club throughout the holidays.

Summer Programme

We hold our annual Youth Summer during the 5-week school holiday period. The programme, which offers more than 20 activities for young people to enjoy, features everything from sports to arts and crafts.

We want to make sure we tailor our programme to what our young people want, so if you have any suggestions, contact the Charlton Triangle office.

Global Fusion community activities

Funded by Charlton Triangle Homes, Global Fusion Music and Arts puts on various free activities throughout the week for you to enjoy. These can include:

  • Zumba
  • Tai chi
  • Yoga
  • Cooking
  • Drumming
  • Jewellery making

Activities are open to all the community, although children will need to be accompanied by an adult.
