Allisha Willis - Building Services Officer
What’s your role at Peabody?
My main role at CTH is to turn around and re-let the properties once they become empty. The quicker the better really as there are so many people on the RGB waiting list.
What brought you to Peabody?
I started my housing career in the repairs department at Lewisham Homes and I joined Family Mosaic before we merged with Peabody for a fresh start and new experiences.
What are you working on at the moment?
Myself and the rest of the Building services team are currently working on a program to install or open up the vents inside our properties to help with ventilation, this will help reduce the build-up of condensation within people’s homes significantly.
What’s one of your favourite things about this place?
Working in a small community means I can really get to know our residents. From seeing someone pregnant and watching that child grow up is lovely.
Saying “good morning” to an elderly resident and seeing them smile can mean a lot to them.
Which of the Charlton/Peabody values means the most to you, and why?
Collaboration – because without it we’d fall apart!
What makes you smile?
My Grandson, he brings me so much joy I could burst!
Tell us about your home.
I moved home just over 2yrs ago now and my garden was an absolute tip, I’ve since done it up and now I love spending time in it chilling with a glass of wine.
Tell us something about you that we might be surprised by.
I love to travel abroad but I hate flying (LOL) I want to visit as many countries as possible while I’m on this planet.
