Our Board members bring a broad range of expertise and experience. The Board meets five times a year and is responsible for:
- setting strategy
- risk control and management
- achieving the Group’s objectives
- ensuring effective systems of governance and internal control
- making sure all business in the Group is done according to our constitution and relevant acts and standards set by our regulators.
Four of our Board members are residents – three are tenants and one is a leaseholder. We select tenant Board members from a pool of people who have completed our Community Leadership Course and been interviewed by existing Board members. The Royal Borough of Greenwich also appoints two members to represent the Council, and Peabody, our parent organisation, nominates the other four members.
