Welcome to The New Leaf Centre

The New Leaf Centre opens for two and a half days a week, and is staffed and supported by qualified and experienced practitioners. Residents may access any number of services, all of which are free, and there are slots for both drop in and appointments.

Centre staff will also ‘signpost’ residents to a wide range of other services in the borough. In this way, individuals can deal with a wide range of issues that may be affecting their progress.

The best careers support on its own will not break down all prevailing barriers, particularly in such a slow economy.

Aims of The Centre

It is widely accepted that employment, or occupation (eg voluntary work) in a general sense, provides for better outcomes over time for individuals and their families. There are clear correlations between lack of opportunity, unemployment and poverty to health issues and the life chances of children raised in such circumstances.

The New Leaf Centre aims to contribute to the breaking of barriers on a number of fronts to allow individuals a better chance of making progress to achieve the benefits that sustainable employment or occupation bring.

These will impact positively upon local crime, health and the costs associated with statutory and other services over time, but most importantly, make major positive impacts in the lives of individuals living in the CTH community.
