THE STREET PARTY 2009

On the 10th July, the mixture of great weather and a brilliant stage performance run by Global Fusion, in cooperation with the children from Cherry Orchard and Charlton Manor Primary Schools, generated a great number of people gathered around the ‘Safer Routes to School’ path, where the ‘Street Party' took place.

There were numerous activities for young people, such as a climbing wall, paintball, an activity bus with DJ-ing facilities, and a football tournament. Additionally, shoulder and foot massage was provided by the Jubilee group, and various foods, drinks and snacks provided by other volunteers - Many thanks to all who volunteered and helped in creating such a memorable day, which was enjoyed by all! All money raised on the day went to ‘Demelza’, a charity that runs a hospice for terminally ill children and their families.
